Washington, D.C. - Today, during National FFA Week, Congressional FFA Caucus Co-Chairs, U.S. Representatives Tracey Mann (KS-01) and Jimmy Panetta (CA-19), and Congressional FFA Caucus members U.S. Representatives Bruce Westerman (AR-04) and Jim Costa (CA-21) sent a letter to Secretary of Agriculture Thomas Vilsack, urging him to fill the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s agricultural youth organization coordinator position; a position left vacant for more than eight months.
Washington, D.C. - Today, U.S. Representatives Tracey Mann (KS-01) and Jimmy Panetta (CA-20), co-chairs of the Congressional FFA Caucus, and U.S. Representatives GT Thompson (PA-15) and Suzanne Bonamici (OR-01), co-chairs of the Congressional Career and Technical Education Caucus, introduced a bipartisan resolution designating February 18 through 25 as National FFA Week. The resolution garnered the support of 78 cosponsors in the House and was also adopted and introduced in the U.S. Senate by Senators Todd Young (R-IN) and Chris Coons (D-DE).
We have some good news for the future of agriculture! U.S. Representatives Tracey Mann and Jimmy Panetta are reestablishing the Congressional FFA Caucus for the 118th Congress!
Both representatives co-founded the caucus back in 2021 and it aimed to be an informal, bipartisan group dedicated to issues related to the next generation of ag leaders.
